The coronavirus pandemic has meant that we are unfortunately not able to perform live for all of you as we do every year. So, to overcome this period of global isolation a number of of us enthusiastically decided to get together from the space of our own homes to celebrate Nobel Laureate Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore’s 159th birth anniversary, digitally!
In keeping with the true Rabindrik spirit, the programme is a humble reflection of team work and community support in which we have passionately collaborated on songs, dances and recitations to commemorate the poet’s birthday as well as to bring hope and positivity to all of you through his works.
Bishwobhora Praan is a tribute to all the doctors, nurses and all other frontline workers across the globe who are tirelessly dedicating their lives to fight the coronavirus pandemic. It is also an homage to the thousands of people who have tragically succumbed to it all over the world, some of whom are sadly personally known to us.
We hope that this online labour of love, very thoughtfully and creatively compiled by The Tagoreans will bring a smile to your faces, joy to your hearts and a boost to your spirits in the comfort of your own homes where we hope that you are safe and well.
